Problems with page size not retained when converting Word doc to P

Hi -
Using the Adobe add-in for Word 2007, I have run into a problem when
converting documents that are not standard 8.5 x 11 size to PDF.

If I open a document in Word that is 6 x 9, and select 'Convert to PDF", the
PDF document is rendered as 8.5 x 11. I have tried fiddling with every
setting I can find in "Preferences" on the PDF tab in Word. In particular,
even when I go into the WORD tab, under PDF Settings, and change the default
size to 6 x 9, the result is still 8.5 x 11.

What is even more baffling is that this problem only happens to SOME users
on a particular PC. Others can log in and not have this problem at all, page
size is retained correctly for them.

I am asking this same question at Adobe but no one seems to be able to help
me so far. Is there possibly some registry setting that is broken?

Thanks.

If you make your pdf by going through Print, you can tell it the page
size you want.

I have tested this with a 6 x 9 page and Acrobat 8 Professional and it works
correctly here.

Does it still render the document incorrectly if you first set the active
printer driver to the Adobe Driver and allow the document to reformat to
that driver?

If it works correctly for some users and not for others on the same PC then
the implication is that this is a registry issue as you suspected. Repairing
Acrobat for those users *may* fix the registry settings. If not you could
try setting up new profiles for those users.
