Hi,
i have the Problem that customers will sent me ppt-files
from Window-PCs. When i try to open them - i get the
following dialog...
Serverapplication, file or element is missing. Check the
path or the file name or install the Serverapplication again.

has someone else the same Problem? What can I do?

Thanks for your help...

Joachim

P.S. In Keynote the same file will be OK - but can't be saved as ppt.

Hi,

There's an article here that is technically not correct, but it has the
general idea:
http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb;en-us;290942&spid=2530&sid=251

Put another way: the problem occurs when someone embeds an object for
which your computer does not have the application that was used to
create that object.

The idea of embedding is that you can put one kind of object (say a
Microsoct Excel spreadsheet) into another kind of object (say a
PowerPoint presentation).

On the Mac, only a few kinds of objects within Office are supported. On
Windows there are more choices. Chances are that someone embedded one of
the ones that Mac does not have.
