I have the following 2 scenarios that I cannot create in Project. I was
wondering why that were the case and if there's any way around it...
1. I have two tasks, A and B. B canot start until A is started, but B has to
finish first before A can be finished. When I tried to create a SS and a FF
dependency between the two tasks (but pointing at each other), MS Project
pops out the error that "cannot have the same task as a predecessor &
successor".
2. I have a group of tasks (summary task B) and an individual task A. The
group task B cannot finish until A is finished, but when trying to create an
FF depdency with the whole group. When doing so, I got an error that
"Predecessor of summary taks can only be FS and SS". I suppose I can try to
create the FF dependency with the last task in summary task B instead for
the same effect, but in my case, it is not always certain that which task in
B will end up finishing first.
Thanks.
