Hi All,
I've come across a problem with previewing and printing reports in Access
2000 that I can't figure out, and hope someone can help.
The problem report is set up with a page header, detail, and page footer.
The information in the page header/footer sections is static. Within the
detail are a group of controls, two of which are sub-reports. Of the two
sub-reports, one in particular appears to be the problem (I'll call it
SubA). SubA can shrink and grow and the controls in its detail can
shrink/grow also. What I'm noticing is that sometimes the last line of text
in the detail of SubA is not displayed. This happens when the following is
true (on both print preview and printing only one page):
-SubA spans two or more pages
-I navigate to the last page and then page backward using the built in
navigation
In addition, this only happens to the first instance of SubA on each page.
For example, if SubA displays only one paragraph of text per instance and
there are 3 instances on a page, only the first instance will have the last
line dropped; the other two are fine. To illustrate, if SubA appears on a
page 3 times and has the same detail in each instance, the page might look
like this:
======================
The quick brown
fox jumped over
The quick brown
fox jumped over
the lazy dog.
The quick brown
fox jumped over
the lazy dog.
=====================
If anyone has an idea of why this happens and/or how to avoid it, I
appreciate any help you can offer. My environment is:
WinXP Clients
Access 2000
Printing to printer shares on Win2003 Server
TIA & Ciao,
Tony
