H
Hanson Nees (Dutch Mountain Rescue Team)
I am using Office Professional '97 with Windows Vista and one of the new
cheaper 3 in 1 printers - the HP Deskjet F2180.
There are all sorts of problems when I try to print our text pages from Word
but I will just mention two and hope that the replies might help me sort out
the rest. These problems are quite recent and coincide with starting to use
an external hard disc, thougnh I cannot see any connection. Just thought i'd
mention it in case.
1. If I click on to the desktop Word shortcut, the blank page opens and
shows a warning message " Word cannot open the existing "(the symbol
following is like a reversed L - but smaller). If I check the OK box the
message goes and nothing seems different.
2. If I try to print using File/Print nothing happens. I find I can print
from the print icon on the formatting toolbar - but this will only print out
the full file - not selected pages.
Though 'Help' is not included with an older programme like my version, I
have followed the links and downloaded the relevant Help file from MS.
Any help that is offered will be appreciated but I can't guarantee not to
come back like young Oliver Twist and ask for more.
Thank you,
Hanson.
