We recently upgraded from Project Server 2002 to Server
2003. Our standard backup tools were installed post
upgrade on the server and when the server was rebooted
after the utility installs, we were unable to reach the
server via Web Access or via Project Pro. It was noticed
that the WWW Service was no longer listed as a service.
IIS was reinstalled which brought back our ability to
connect to the server, but since the reboot that occurred
after the utilities were installed on the server, we are
getting the "Project Server faild to update the links in
Project Server database when we upload a document to the
Project Server from within a Web Portal (subweb). The
document indeed uploads after we click through this error
message. Also what is strange is that when I am in
Project Web Access, click on documents, and upload a
document in the same library, it works fine with no error
message. As Administrator of MS Project, I'm unable to
gain access to many of the Admin functionality from
Project Web Access, including checking a group's
security. I'm wondering if we not need to circle back
around and reinstall anything else that might need to be
installed in a specific order after the IIS install? I AM
able to open Project Pro and open a project on the
server. Any thoughts on correcting these problems?
