problems with remove hidden data tool and Word 2002?

We've had a complaint that the RHD tool sometimes hangs with some Word 2002
documents, can anyone else confirm this?

Hi Chip,

Yep, sure can.

First are you certain you waited long enough? I found complex
documents can take up to 15 minutes to process. I may appear as though
the application hangs but eventually it completes the task.

During my tests I waited over 2 hours (several times) for it to
complete on a specific document and of course resolved the application
did hang. Once I deleted multiple TOC fields the utility ran 'as
advertised'.

Here's a list of known issues on the utility: (It notes long
processing time but doesn't indicate the application can hang):

There are a few other issues I encountered that aren't in the list. If
