Problems with the Colour Palette in Execel 2003

Hi,
I am using conditional formatting to change fill colours when a condition is
met, just simply red, green and white. I create a workbook and everything
seems fine until I re-open the workbook, at that time my colours change, red
becomes baby blue and green becomes black, etc. Or sometimes the red turns
to brown and the green to a sea green. There are othe colour problems, but
this is the major source of my frustration. Can anyone help with this?
Thanks Torkattack

Could you tell if the file has been opened in Excel 2007 (or 2010)? I have
had similar problems that was caused by a user that has opened the Excel 2003
file in Excel 2007. Excel 2007 handles more colours, and when I opened the
file in 2003, the colours weren't recognized, since the colours didn't exist
in Excel 2003.

Hi Kenneth,

I don't know for sure, but I don't think so. I work for a large national
corporation and we all have the same s/w. We all have Office 2003
professional. I've had our IT people try numerous times to fix this but it
keeps happening time and time again. I can certianly e-mail a file to show
someone if they can help with this. Thanks
