Problems with the distribution list

I have made a list with some friends in a distribution list. But when I try
to send mail to the list, Outlook will not send to them. I get the error
message: None of your e-mail accounts could send to the recipient.

Please!!! What is wrong. I'm in a hurry

PS what is E-mail type??
