I'm running into problems when trying to update an existing database using Visio Enterprise Architect Edition. The exact edition reported in Help | About is "Microsoft(R) Visio(R) for Enterprise Architects SP-2 (10.0.5110)"
The original database design I'm trying to modify was created using Visio, and it has not been modified outside of Visio
When I modify the design, and select Database | Update... , from the resulting dialog I select "Generate a text file with the DDL script" and "Detect changes in the database". The resulting messages indicate that several user-defined types no longer exist in the database (when in fact, they do), and, most bizarrely, the primary keys of some tables were changed from "int identity" to "char(10)"
Has anyone else run into these problems? If so, how did you work around them
Please post responses back to this newsgroup
Regards
