Problems with word 2000 after installing outlook 2003

Hi,
I just installed outlook 2003 and now word 2000 won't load or function.
Initially, windows prompted me to the site to update but it had no affect on
word functionality. Any thoughts?

Outlook 2003 doesn't get along with any version of Word but 2003; in general
both the Outlook and Word versions must be the same, or many unexpected,
often unpleasant things can happen. Either update Word to version 2003, or
Revert Outlook to version 2000. At the very least, make sure Outlook 2003
is NOT attempting to use Word as it's editor.
