Problems with Word 2002 since opening Word 2000 file

Felicia

I have Windows XP and Word 2002. Recently I downloaded a
file that was saved in a Word 2000 format. I'm not sure
what format I saved it in. Since then, my Word screen
doesn't look the same--the menu bar, tool bar, etc are in
a different format. In the corner of each page is an "L"
and backwards "L" shape. When I opened Words, I received
a message stating the Word 2002 could not be found and to
insert the installation CD.

Can someone help me?

Thanks,
Felicia

Go to Start | Programs | Microsoft Office Tools | Microsoft Office XP
Language Settings and disable support for all Asian languages (this
evidently rode in on the W2k doc).

This will likely not help, and it is very bad advice. Deleting Normal.dot
causes users to irretrievably lose all their customizations. We therefore
recommend *renaming* Normal.dot if necessary.
