Sorry: When carrying out a diagnostic test, it is really important that you
do "Just the test procedure".
If you do a heap of other things as well, we can't get a reading from the
test.
When you do exactly this:
1) Quit Word and re-start the computer.
2) Now, Launch Word while holding down the Shift key.
Is the problem still happening? If it is, it wasn't Word that's causing it,
and we need to get a list of the running applications in your system.
3) If you then quit and re-start Word normally, does the problem change?
How?
If the problem goes away on Step 2, and comes back on Step 3, then the
problem is either the Normal Template or the preferences in your User ID.
If the problem does not go away at Step 2, then we need to see a list of the
applications running on your system. Start Activity Monitor, go to File
menu and choose Save... It will save a text file of all the processes
running on the system. Normally, to save space you can cut out any process
above launchd in the list: they're system processes.

I suggest that you be extremely careful about running a File System Check
(fsck). If there is actually something wrong with the file system, the
system can become unable to start. Make sure you have a complete and
verified backup before you try "Hero Mode" repairs like that
Hope this helps
I tried this but the problem still is happening. It doesn't happen in each
word that I write but at least once in every two lines. Before I updated I had
version 12.2.0 but I updated to 12.2.4. I also started the computer up and
held down the command (the apple sign) and s and then wrote fsck - fy or some
thing like that.
