In my Outlook Calendar, I track the birthdays, anniversaries, etc. of
important people by scheduling a recurring, day-long appointment on the
day. I do this so that I see the nice little boxed note in the month
view for the appointment at the top of each day box.
I normally reside in the PST timezone. However, I frequently work in
the EST timezone and others around the world. When I change timezones
and adjust the regional settings for Outlook (2003) and Windows (XP),
the events I have scheduled shift all over the place.
The problem here is that Outlook schedules a day-long appointment for
00:00 to 24:00 when in reality, I just want to see the reminder for
that day, regardless of what time zone I am in. Same with Holidays.
Is there a way to note these yearly events and holidays without
scheduling them as an appointment?
