Producer Preload

Two questions:
1. What does the preload to in Producer?

2. How do we bypass the preload? I've already tried without success:
..../POCfinal_files/Default.htm#nopreload=1&autostart=1&event=1
..../POCfinal.htm#nopreload=1&autostart=1&event=1

Thanks.

Third question: How is this related to PowerPoint? I suggest you try a
Producer newsgroup instead.

Third question: How is this related to PowerPoint?

Producer is an addin for Powerpoint (available at the Microsoft Powerpoint
site) so it is not illogical to post here.

Yes that is a good recommendation

I can't get these to work. I'm NOT using Windows Media Server, is that an
issue? Is there any gains in using that server?

Shouldn't be for this issue.

What about the url I provided -- does it work?

What do you see? What does 'not work' mean to you? What are you expecting?
Is there any gains in using that server?

Using a media server would help in managing outgoing bandwidth, in
coordinting with the client for distributing/selecting media output for
multiple bandwidths, and in allowing more complete indexing (basically skip
forward in media at any time). Generally it is regarded as the appropriate
solution for "heavy lifting" media serving.

Using an http server is adequate in many situations though.

Your URL works, and I got mine to work. It was a URL definition issue that I
had, pointing to an invalid folder. Thanks for your help.
