We have a producer presentation published to a 2000 Server (without Media Server). It is about a 1 hour presentation with audio and slide copy. If you use a Netscape browser it starts almost immediately. If you use Internet Explorer it takes several minutes while the slide copy seems to cache. The media (audio) file is 16M, but it seems to be caching all the slide files before it will begin. AS it starts you get a "loading" message and the status bar fills and empties repeatedly. There are about 100 slides in the presentation, so that is my indicator of what is caching. Also if you just call up the media file from IE, it starts playing immediately so it doesn't seem to be the large audio file that is caching. Any ideas on how to get IE to start playing it more immediately?
