Product CD Key

I have Microsoft Office 2000 Professional edition. I
purchased the academic edition. I have been using it on
Windows 98 and now have pruchased a comptuer that has
Windows XP. I tried to install it on the XP system with
no luck. I have the product ID (20 digits), the Install #
(17 digits) and the Conf # (8 digits) and it is saying
that I do not have the correct CD Key #. Can anyone help,
or explain what I have done wrong. Thanks. Chris

HUH?! Why on earth should that make a difference? The code is *NOT* case
sensitive.

The install configuration is for 25 characters/digits.
None of the numbers/digits I have are 25. Has Microsoft
added additional requirements with the XP edition?

It shouldn't but I did have this problem even last week!!!
