product ID | Product Key Office XP trauma

I'm the latest tech for my company and I'm trying to
figure out what Microsoft office XP cd's go with what
computer. The prior tech did not organize anything, nor
did they keep the office cd's and/or liscenses with the
proper computer that they were installed on. Is there
any way I can find what office XP cd goes w/ what
computer by comparing the Product ID to the Product Key
or any method? I need to get this place organized in
case we ever get audited. It's also a hassle when I
reformat a machine and need to load office XP again, but
don't know which CD was originally used on that machine.
Any suggestions? Thanks ahead of time for any help!!

All you need to know is what version office was used. The program knows
what version it is, but doesn't care about the CD, as long as it's the right
version.
