Product ID

I recently had to replace the hardrive on my laptop and reinstall my old
programs. The problem I have is that my Office 2007 cd was destroyed, but I
do have the Product ID. Is there any solution for this?

If you have nothing except for the license key you are pretty much out of
luck as Microsoft won't replace with just the key. You need the sales
receipt for them to replace the disk. What you can do is ask around to
friends, employer IT people, etc to see if they have the exact model of
Office 2007 as you have. If they do you can copy the CD and use that to
install your software using your key. The exact product name will be on the
license key sticker that you have. No sticker you are totally out of luck.

Of course there is a solution to most problems in this world. For
example, you could try downloading the correct program from M$ website
<http://us20.trymicrosoftoffice.com/default.aspx> and use your PID.
If this doesn't work then try googling for Office 2007 crack or torrent
and you will get not only the program but also the serial key that goes
with it.

Also, there is a registry hack (unfortunately, I can't give it to you
here) which converts a trial version to full version and Microsoft with
all its intelligence won't know anything about this or can't do anything
about this.
