I just purchased an used PC with office xp already
installed. When I open an office program (excel, word,
etc.),on the product information displays "user". How can
I change the "user" so my name would be displayed?

JC:

You can't change the name shown in the splash screen without purchasing an
XP disc and reinstalling. However if you want to tag your files with your
name, open word and from the Tool s-> Options menu, you can set the User
specifics.
