Product Key codes errors, how do I use WORD without key code?

Hi all
My office 2007 has just starting asking me for a Product Key, and when I
enter the key code I have, it says its incorrect, however it is the code on
the sticker on my laptop. The only assistance I can find is related to 2003
and therefore I can not follow it. Can anyone suggest how I fix this, as now
I can not use my office package?
thanks
Grace

The code on the laptop sticker is for the Windows Operating System, NOT
Office. If you purchased Office 2007 retail, it's on the case. If it's OEM,
the manufacturer would have provided you with the license key.

I am having the same problem with the office pro 2007 product key. It
worked
on my desktop but for some reason when I try to install it on my laptop i
get
an incorrect key..

Stickers on laptops are for the operating system and not Office. For the
original OP contact the place where you purchased the Office product as to
where the key is located.

For Flow1420, if you have an OEM version of Office you can only install it
on one computer. If it is a retail version you are probably entering the
key incorrectly. Use a magnifying glass to read the key off of the back of
the flip-out caddy that the DVD is located on. If you don't have the case
sorry.

That's interesting. .the 2nd disk that came with the package for business
contact manager works fine but for some reason the MS office install won't
work.
How can I tell if it's OEM software. I do still have the original packaging.
thanks, that helps if it is OEM. but I hate to have to buy another disk just
to install it on my laptop.. crud

The two easy ways to determine if OEM or retail is:

1. Look at the activation key sticker on the package (where the 25
character activation key is located) in the lower right corner. If FPP
appears it is retail, if OEM or MLK, one install to a single computer

2. Look at the disk itself. If it says something similar to only purchase
with a new computer then it is OEM.
