Product Key Denied

I have Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 software. I needed to use my
'Recovery' CD-so now I need to re-install the office software, but it does
not recognize the product key. I've had to recover my laptop before and I'm
not sure if it's not accepting the product key b/c of an unknown amount of
time I could use it. I still have the receipt validating that I did in fact
purchase the software. If anyone has any suggestions I would very much
appreciate it. Thanks you.

Home and Student don't come on a "recovery CD" - it has it's own CD. The
Office Product key is on the case for the Office CD, not on the computer...
