Hi, Our company has a volume licence key for installing office 2003 Pro, but
I found that if I only wan to install Excel or Word or Access and so on,
e.g. I run the installation file " ACC11.MSI " or " EXCEL11.MSI ", and input
the same key for installing office 2003 pro, pop up message said I inputted
a invalid product key ? what is the problem ?

Thanks a lot... !

When you attempt to install an office application via it's .msi like
"ACC11.MSI" or "EXCEL11.MSI", it is considered a "standalone" product and
would require a "standalone" product key.

When you install using pro11.msi you are installing the "suite" and using a
"suite" product key.

You will either need to use pro11.msi and then just set the other features
to not available, or obtain a standalone product key for the products you are
attempting to install in a standalone fashion.

No, the stand-alone keys would not be free.

Do as Eric A. suggested: use the regular 'suite' installer and just unselect
the applications you don't want to install. But the installation on the
machine, whether it's one application or all of them, is going to count
against your volume license.
