Product Key Isn't Working

I recently bought a new Toshiba laptop that came with a pre-installed trial
version of OneNote. I tried it. I loved it. I purchased the full program
from http://www.softwaresurplus.com/. Now I go to upgrade the trial version
to the full (the trial expires tomorrow) and the Product Key doesn't work; I
get a messege telling me its invalid.

Yes, I double checked it.

Yes, it is a Product Key SPECIFICALLY for Microsoft OneNote.

OneNote is currently holding my notes hostage and I have exams coming up.
Help?

Uninstall the trial version, restart your system and then install the full
version and use the new product ID key.
