product key problem with Office Professional 2007

I purchased Office Professional 2007 (I have the discs) and am running it on
an HP Laptop with Vista home premium 32 bit.

When I installed it I am sure it asked for the product key and I am sure
that I entered it. Today it asked me to install the product key. When I did
it said the key was incorrect but it is accurate. The product key is on the
bottom of the plastic case that holds the discs.

what do you suggest?

The key is on the orange sticker on the bottom of the swing-out tray that
physically holds the disks not on the bottom of the box. It is 5 sets of 5
characters or 25 characters total.

Thanks-I had/have the correct data but it appeared that it was not being
accepted.

I have subsequently determined that the problem was that it thought I was
trying to install the Office Student product not the Office Professional
product for some reason.
