product key to install office xp pro w/publish

This software came with my Church computer, since I keep
Church books at my home, and then backup at Church, I
have tried to load office on my pc, I understand it can
be loaded on two pc's. I get the message that the
product key is incorrect. I contacted Dell and of course
the Church never registered their purchase. Microsoft
gave me a new product key but it did not work either. Is
there any way I can run this software - my computer says
it was installed - but I can't open it.

Hi Sara,

MS Office XP with Publisher is an OEM only package,
marketed only with new PCs. It cannot be installed
on a 2nd computer. MS Office retail editions can
be installed on a laptop and a desktop for the same
user, but not two desktop PCs.
