I just purchased a new macbook for my son and am trying to load the microsoft office mac and i am not sure what product key numbers to use it won't take what is on the package.

When you install you need your CD Key (usually found on the box). Most
likely you have confused zero with O or 8 with a B.

The Product ID (a product ID will look like this: 11111-130-0001111-12345)
is used to register. This shows up during the install process.

"Registration" has nothing to do with the operation of the software - unlike
the Activation required for MS Windows software. It's little more than a
marketing tool. It will put you on a Microsoft email list. You can sign up
for the newsletter without registering.
