I've three copies of Office:mac 2004, on for my wife, my son, and myself. I'm trying to load office onto a new laptop before I send it off to replace one which blew up. I'd like to know what the product keys of the two that I have in hand are, but MS seems to be coy about letting one know that, until one try's to run two machines that have the same product key running on them. Is there any non-trial-and-error way to figure out which copy one's running on a given machine?

In all fairness, Microsoft's not being coy at all. They expect you to
manage your software installations.

Where the user has made a mistake, they provide instructions for
resetting the product key. Go to their website
<http://www.microsoft.com/mac/> and search for "Remove and reenter the
Office 2008 product key".

Hope this helps!
