I had to reformat my hard drive recently and can not
locate the CD Key for Office 2000. I'd like to know if
there is anyway to reinstall it without being able to
locate the CD key.

No, you will need the key. You can contact MS for a replacement key:

http://support.microsoft.com/directory/phone.asp?sd=gn

If it's an OEM copy (provided with the PC) you may need to contact that PC
supplier for the key.
