I recently bought Micosoft Office Professional 2007 and have installed and am
using all the programs that it has to offer. However every time I bring up
OneNote it ask for the Product Key and I normaily cancel and move on. But
this time I went ahead and put in the Product Key only for it to tell me that
it was the wrong number. I did it servral times and I know I put it in right.
Is there another number that I am to put in that I am not aware of. Please
help me understand.

I have been having the same problem but also found that when I went to
download a template from MS online it advised that my MS Office 2007 was not
genuine. I know it is and I now assume that the preinstalled trial version
(including one note) is being used rather than the version i purchased when
buying the computer. I assumed I had installed mine as I loaded the disk
ect. but i dont remember it asking for a Product Key. I took no notice as
the computer is new and all office products appear to be working with the
exception of the problem above and I also just ignored the One-note warning.

Try looking in the Help menu. There is an Activate product item. Mine says
it is already activated, but if yours isn't, maybe it will provide an option
to do so with your legitimate key.
