Hello

I bought Office v.X a while ago and I use it on an older Mac computer. I also just purchased a new Mac and wished to run my version of Office on it as well.

When I run it on the new computer, an error occurs and says that it cannot be run simultaneously on two computers under the same product code and then it closes.

I thought that the product came with three licenses?

Where are the other licenses at for this and/or how can I obtain them?

Thanks much!

We have no way of knowing the terms of the license you purchased. If
your copy of Office X had three licenses, there would be three separate
license keys printed on the box/manual/CD. Check there.

If you no longer have your boxed copy of Office, as a registered user
you can try contacting Microsoft. Not sure if they'll support such an
old product, however.

The only retail edition of Office v.X to include 3 product keys was the
Student/Teacher edition. If that's what you have, all 3 keys are located in
the same place - separate stickers on the disk sleeve.

You're getting the conflict message because you're using the same key for 2
different installations on the same network. That version of Office was
discontinued years ago, so the only source of additional copies would be
eBay or other second hand sellers. IMHO it would be a waste of money to put
more into deprecated software which will become even less likely to run
effectively as OS X continues to evolve. The last update to v.X was nearly 2
years ago & there will be no more. I think you would do far better to take
advantage of upgrading to Office 2008.
