I bough Microsoft Xp software and lost the blue box with
the 25 didget number. Thnis is the number i have and it
won't let me install it. 54189-756-4319317-16128. They say
it can't be installed you need 25 didgets. How do I find
them out,

1) Office does not come in a "blue box". Works (and the Works Suite)
comes in a blue box - therefore you're in the wrong group.

2) The installation key is not on the aforementioned "blue box" - it's on
the back of the jewel case on a yellow (some would say orange) sticker
marked "DO NOT LOSE THIS NUMBER".

3) The number you have isn't the installation key. Now, I don't know
anything about Works, having never used it, but the general convention with
MS product keys (certainly in the last few years) is a 25-character
alphanumeric string (e.g. A12BC-D3EF4-5G67H-890IJ-KLMNO).

Please repost in the correct place. Thank you

this is NOT a product key, it is a product ID, it cannot be used for
installation as it should be in the form of:

ABCDE-ABCDE-ABCDE-ABCDE-ABCDE...
letters and numbers not numbers only...
