product upgrade solution - upgrading since office 95

I have been using and paying for using MS software since Word 2. When I
install my licensed copy of Office XP I have to start at office 95 and to
each incremental upgrade. Is therea a simpler solution for those of us that
have been using MS products for a long time instead of having to do 5
installs? (95, 97, 2000, 2003, officexP)

You don't need to install the older versions of Microsoft Office (version 95 and older) as long as you have
the original installation disks (in your case, floppies or CDs).

Just install Microsoft Office XP Upgrade and when it says that it cannot find a qualifying product, insert the
older version CD for Microsoft Office XP Upgrade to verify it. However, you will need to work your way up to
Microsoft Office 97 by installing Microsoft Office 97 Upgrade and insert a qualifying product when the
installation asks.

By the way, Microsoft Office XP is OLDER than Microsoft Office 2003. I thought I'd mention that as your
original post suggests that you are thinking it is the other way around when it isn't.
