They are identical products. The license agreement governs how the product
can be used. Basically, academic software is for use in the classroom.
Real World Example: I was employed by a university to teach Project
Management and to also create a schedule for implementation of a program to
get the university to become a registered education provider by Project
Management Institure.
It was the interpretation of the university IT department that I could use
academic software in the classroom/lab where schedules were developed as
class projects. They said I had to have a full license for the second
project becuase this was not strictly academic work. It is my personal
belief this was a narrow interpretation.
Certainly, use of the full version is required for my day job as a
management consultant.
Don't risk your livelyhood on the difference in price.
