profile error

What would cause word to throw a program error in one profile but not the
other. It says that the program was not closed correctly and can't find the
restore file and asks if I want to open in safe mode which by the way works.
I've unistalled it reinstalled even deleted the profile.

Either abandoned temp files in the user's temp folder, a corrupt normal.dot
or a corrupt profile.

For the former, from a fresh reboot, the temp file should be empty: delete
everything in it.

For the second, find and rename normal.dot as normal.bad.

For the latter, delete and create a new user profile as profile corrupts can
waste hours and hours of time without fruition.
