profile issues

start having problems with configuring outlook with internet mail and exchange server in the same profile, in a NT 4.0 / exchange 5.5 configuration. I can't send Internet mail to my ISP SMTP server . I don't want to use different profiles for each service. is there a work around to fix this problem . Also does this problem appear when I upgrade to a 2003 exchange.
