I get the following error message when I select a file from
"Open Office Document": "The program associated with the
selected template cannot be started, or the program cannot
use the selected template." I tried using Office help and
searched for any files in the XL start folder, but ther was
none. I tried removing all files form the "Template" folder
as well under my profile and all users profile. As far as I
know I have not setup Excel or Word to use a specific
template. BTW, after I click "OK" in the error box and
Excel opens to a blank page I can then go to "Open" and
select my file and it will then open up. I also uninstalled
and re-installed Office.
I'm using Office Pro 2000 with Windows XP Pro.
AMD 2000+ processor, 512MB ram, 80gig WD hard drive, 128MB
video card all with the latest drivers.
Any idea how to get this to stop happening?
