Program Views VS Project Views

I'm asking for oppinions here on this topic. One way to
display a program is to create a custom outline code and
add the names of the programs in the listing. or .. I
can create a master plan and import my projects in the
program into the master plan. Has anyone worked with
ether case and/or have a better solution? I'm seeing the
master plan has a much higher maintenance effort (on the
PM part) than the custom codes.

It's a matter of preference and specific requirements. Sometimes you'll want
to do both.
