program won't open

Hi ,I `m Sue , I`m new to these news groups , I`m having a problem with
Norton 2005 , I had Norton 2004 and had no problem running a software game ,
now when I go to programs and then to the game, it trys to open , all I get
is the cursor spining (it looks like a little cd) I have contacted Symantec
and Gateway , they both said to reinstall the Norton to make sure it
installed properly I have done that , I was also told to disable Norton and
try the game , nothing is working, if I uninstall Norton completely it will
run , this is getting very upsetting
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

Hi Sue,

This newsgroup is specifically for Q&A related to Microsoft Access, the database software that is
a part of the MS Office suites. It is not for questions pertaining to other issues. I suggest
trying to find a newsgroup dedicated to your particular game software.

Without knowing which software product you are using (I made a guess of Norton Systemworks 2005)
or which game software that you are having trouble using, I was able to find the following on the
Symantec web site (note: This long URL will likely be broken by the newsreader, but it can be put
back together manually):

Microsoft's Help system has landed you in the wrong newsgroup: this
one is for the database program Microsoft Access.

Please use the dropdown box (the one that says "Access" by default)
to select a more appropriate newsgroup; you *might* get some help from
one of the newsgroups for your version of Windows. However... This is
clearly a problem with Norton or one of its settings; you'll have to
get Norton to help (or uninstall Norton Antivirus and purchase a
different, less intrusive antivirus program, of which there are many).
