Programatically changing the date/time format for a timeline.

Hi,

Does anyone know how to change the Date/Time formats for the Timeline Shape?
this is for both the Interim Markes and Milestones.

I am guessing that it will require knowing the universal or local name, but
i have no idea how to get these and haven't been able to on the net.

cheers

Lee,

the quickest way is to check the shapesheet for the object. In the v2003 version it is a menu item that calls the
addon (=RUNADDONWARGS("ts","/cmd=6")).

Cheers Al,

I kept hearing about this ShapeSheet thing... for a while i wasn't sure what it meant and i espeacially had no idea that there was a spreadsheet that showed all the various cells etc.

Now i am using the StringToFormulaForString function from the code librarian that came with the Visio 2003 SDK to change the formulas.

Wish i had realised all this a couple of months ago as i might have some hair left now.

cheers for your help

two books that I still refer to when ever I get in over my head
David Edsons "professional development..." and
Graham Widemans "survival guide". David has a phenomenal number of examples and Graham goes
even deeper with some custom tools.
