Programmatically change Sharepoint links

Is there a way to programmatically change the links from Project Server
2003 to WSS? Perhaps a stored procedure that gets called? I need to
run a backup and restore every night, but I need to be able to
automatically change the links on the "Manage Windows SharePoint
Services" page. I also need to be able to change the locations of
Project Server at the bottom of the "Server Configuration" page. Like
I said, this happens every night so I can't do it manually through the
web interface.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Haven't gotten any response yet. I think there's a web service or
something that I could call, but I can't find specifics. Can anyone
help on this one? Thanks!

Surely someone has been able to do this. How else can I backup a
Project/WSS site and restore it to a server with a different name? I
need to be able to restore the data on a daily basis and then
programmatically change the server name in both the WSS connection
settings and the project site settings. Is this not possible?

Your request is *unusual* so don't expect anyone to jump on this.
Theoretically, you should be able to do this. If anyone has ideas to share
with you, they'd likely be focused on development, so you might try posting
this at microsoft.public.project.developer instead of this forum. You should
also pry your way into a discussion in the WSS newsgroups.
