Programmatically importing an enterprise project

Is there a way to programmatically import a .mpp project as an enterprise
project into the MS Project Server database?
I mean, a way to do via a VB script what should be done by means of the
Import Project Wizard.

There isn't I'm afraid. The reason is that whilst it might work if there
were no errors, most schedules need manual intervention to map a local
resource to an Enterprise resource where the names aren't spelt exactly the
same. If there is other data in local custom fields that too might need
manual intervention to map the data to Enterprise fields.

If the project was imported with errors, then there would still need to be
manual intervention to correct all errors. There is less work getting it
right first time!

I've succeded in creating an Enterprise project by starting an instance of
winproj application, creating a new project, saving it in MSPS database and
eventually publishing it.
It was a bit complicated, but now it works.
Creating a MSPP project as a local .mpp file and then publishing it resulted
in a series of problems, like being unable to set the values of project
enterprise custom fields.
Thanks anyway.

But that isn't importing! Importing involves importing an existing mpp file
into Project Server. If you said create a new project in Project Server,
then that is straightforward! Recording a macro of you doing it manually
works.
