How can I get hold on some development documentation for Microsoft Office 2003 Web Components
I need programming documentation for the chart web component and the pivot table web component

I'm upgrading code that uses version 9 to run on version 10 and 11
The old versions of the chart component and pivot table component isn't installed with Microsoft Office 2003 and the code using the version 9 doesn't work for version 10 and 11

Microsoft has done a really horrid job of documenting the OWC (any
flavor). This is the main problem with the OWC. There are very few peer
experts on the OWC as a result.

Here are a few links you can try:

Microsoft Office XP Web Component Toolpack:

How to Deploy the Office 2003 Web Components in an Office 2003 Program:

Alvin Bruney (the most helpful person on this ng) has as website with
some info:

http://devel.odessi.net/dotnet/tidbits/default.htm

There are also two books out, neither is very good, but you might learn
some from them:

FYI:

I'll be submitting a request via my lead mvp to get more resources on this
newsgroup. I also think support here is fractured. I'm not sure what the
reason is, but I'll see what I can do to effect positive change.

The wheels are turning, hopefully soon more help should pop up here. I've
looked at the responses to messages and I've determined that we especially
need a pivot table resource person here.
