progress bar in Outlook

I used to have a progress bar to indicate that e-mails
were being downloaded or sent. There was a tick box to
hide the bar. i ticked it and the bar went away. I now
want the bar back but cannot work out how to unhide it.
Does anyone know?

Tools --> Send/Receive Settings --> Show Progress.
Uncheck the box when the progress window pops up.
