Progress Bar

I just recently installed One Note and as I use it I am finding that when I
click on the RED exclamation mark to make a note that is important...this
small progress bar comes onto the screen like it is loading something and it
is there for a couple of minutes preventing me from using any other part of
the program. Is this normal? I can't figure out why it keeps popping up!!!

Are you using handwriting (on a Tablet PC for example)? It could be that
OneNote waits for background handwriting analysis to complete before it
groups the strokes in the tag.
