I am having an issue with the project 2k3 and WSS user authentication. We
switched to Proj Server authentication due to a large number of user needing
to access PWA that were not part of our organization (not specificaly named
in the AD structure and I ddin't want to spend all my time adding then
cleaning up my AD). That seemed to work fine until they tried to go to the
Sharepoint side (documents, issues...) then it would ask for authentication.
So I went ahead and just made the share point anonymous (not good) and now
they can see and look at existing documents libraries. However they cannot
create new libraries. I think I remeber that in Proj 2002 with STS it would
have automaticaly made then a user account on the physical Project/STS
server vs a domain account. In the Proj 2k3 admin on-line book it says they
have to have a domain accnt to access all the features. Is there someway to
automate the creation of these accounts? If not is there a way to change
what permissions anonymous users have per site or globaly?
(reader-contributor)?
Thanks
