Proj98 - Timescale View

R

RMiller

I have a project that was sent to me in Gantt Chart view.
The timescale shows 2-3 years prior to the start date and
I cannot get rid of the columns - maybe I'm not looking in
the right place. Help! Thanks.

You can't get rid of the columns. Think of this a a "view", not a
spreadsheet. To you move the view to right (moving time to left) by
pushing appropraite controls (standard Windows scroll bar at bottom).

You can also change the format of the timescale, say to show larger
increments time, say years in the Middle Tier, and Quarters in Bottom
Tier to more quickly "find" the project in the view. Then when found
expand to the timescale you want. For this see Format/Timescale.

Rob,

Are you aware of the view menu/zoom/"entire project" function?
It will automatically center the view and adjust the timescale to show the
whole project. There are other options as well (zoom selected for example)
Very useful and quick
