Project 2000 hours recalculate duration

I've created a new project. When I assign resources to my
tasks the hours that the resource is allocated are not
correct. What I want the program to do is calulate a
percentage of the allocated hours for the task to more
than one resource. What happens is that I was using
percentage as my unit measure in the resource and then
changed it to decimal. But the amounts for ea resource are
still not correct.
What do I need to do to have my resources hours calculate
correctly for each based on their percentage that I
entered?

Rebecca,

While viewing the Gantt Chart, select the task and click Window>Split.
On the bottom part, you should have the Task Form View. Right click in
this lower pane and select Resource Work. Now you can enter the
necessary resources, their % allocation, and their work. When you
click Next, Project will calculate the Duration for that task.
