Project 2003 and Terminal Server 2003

I am having an immense amount of trouble getting Project 2003 (as well as
Visio 2003) working on our new 2003 Terminal Server. I have a lot of other
apps working on it including Office Edition 2003 Professional. I am not
installing the Server version, I have both Standard and Professional
available to me ,but I just need a stand alone version of Project on this
server.

I can install the apps just fine while logged in as a Domain Administrator
they also function just fine. But when a Domain User logs in and tries to
run them I get a multitude of issues. I get errors relating to the Office
Engine, the users can no longer setup their own Outlook profiles (when they
could before).

If I remove Project everything fuctions normally again and the Domain User
can do everything she needs to do.

I am praying that there are special instructions for making this app work in
a terminal server environment.

Thanks for your time.

Two recommendations:
1. re-ask this on one of Microsoft's newsgroups specific to terminal
server. I see there are a number of them available. Folks here tend to
be Project users and no so much orientated to sophisticated systems like
Terminal server.
2. in my only experience make a terminal server work, I recall that
before installing programs, we had to run a program from the command
prompt (I forget it's name) that put the machine into a state to install
software. We kept forgetting to do this. Each time we forgot, things
wouldn't install properly. Seek out and run this program.
Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.

Thanks Rob. The commands you are thinking of are "change user /install" and
"change user /execute" I believe. Fortunately they aren't needed in
Windows Server 2003. I'll take your advice and head over to the terminal
server groups.
