i'm installed ms project 2003 with the db in sqlserver2000.
There are the diagrams for the ms project 2003 db for sql server 2000?

In the diagram i see resource table and task table,that are clear,but tjhe
assigment table what do?
is a many to many association?

An Assignment is one Resource on one Task. Try saving a project with one
task and one resource, look at the db, then assign the resource to the task
then look at the db. You need to understand project to help make more sense
of the db schema.

Hello guigio,

As Rod noted, the best way to understand the relationships documented
in the schema is to start with a very simple project and see which
tables get populated as you add tasks, resources, and assignments.
Although I don't believe Project follows a neat and clean relational
model, I would agree that the assignment table is playing the part of
a junction table in a classic relational model allowing a many to many
relationship between the task table and resource table.
